Silk Worm is an independent artist living in San Francisco.
Working primarily in drag, dance, and performance, she was a danceWEB Europe Scholar at ImPulsTanz 2017, and she holds a BA and MA from Stanford University. As a performer, Silk has appeared in the work of Lynn Hershman Leeson, Florentina Holzinger, Michele Rizzo, Doris Uhlich, Jules Litman-Cleper, and VivvyAnne ForeverMORE!.
Silk is currently redeveloping her piece Bottom Bride as a solo while leading her Bad Acting workshop, adapted from a performance of the same name created for the Cantor Arts Center (Stanford, CA). With Brittany Newell, she leads and organizes HUSH-HUSH, a collective of early-career queer and trans artists producing experimental work in the Bay Area. Each month HUSH-HUSH presents a showcase of new work at the Stud. Frequent collaborators include Brittany Newell and Mica Sigourney.
